Osborne refers to Osborne House in East Cowes a former home of Queen Victoria. It has a rich history, having been designed by Prince Albert along the lines of an Italian Palazzo. Queen Victoria herself died there in 1901at which time it was given over to The State and was subsequently used as a Naval College- Edward V111 and George V1 both attended. In the war it was used as a convalescent home for Officers.  Robert Graves and AA Milne also spent time there during the war.

Both Forest Lovers and The Money Moon are Romances, the former set in mediaeval France.
